Piedro Caponetti

He lived long periods of study in New York...then in Tuscany where he joined one of the last masters of restoration and where he learned the ancient art of fresco and then the particular technique of the "strappo" - of the Tear.  Technique that realized directly from frescoes on the wall and then brings back on canvas only the trace. "The Memory" of the orignial image.  Trace or memory that results in an aesthetic elegance with extraordinary charm.
